While we were on our cruise Matthew had a lot of fun with our Texas family. We felt bad not bringing him along with us on our cruise, but we did agree with his psychiatrists assessment of him not doing well having such upheaval in his life for 9 days if we had brought him along with us. We were glad he was able to visit G&G M as well as Aunt Jill and her family and they kept him really busy with tons of fun things. He got to help out Grandpa M pick out and put in some flooring.

He enjoyed going on walks with Grandma M, too.
Although it was a bit chilly he did get some swimming in with his cousins. Thank goodness for hot tubs, though--haha!
Spending time with cousins:
Matthew was able to attend church both Sundays he was there with them as well. I am sure it was interesting since he has a hard time containing his exuberance/excitement on Sundays--haha! He did bear his testimony and attend Elder's Quorum with Grandpa M.
They did go to a few fall festivals while they were there, too. It looks like they took care of Matthew and he had a great time with his cousins, Lila and Sydney.
Matthew is all about the petting zoo.
Matthew always seems to find some girlfriends no matter where he goes--haha!
He also couldn't pass up a dog to pet, either.
We all got home late Sunday night from Miami. Aaron didn't have much time to rest before he had to get up at 5 am and fly out to Dallas early Monday morning to pick up Matthew. They had time enough to eat lunch at El Fenix and give Matthew back to Aaron before Aaron and Matthew flew home Monday afternoon/evening. There is always time for El Fenix:
Their flight back to Salt Lake did end up getting a bit delayed so they didn't get home until late Monday night. Matthew didn't have much time to recover because he was thrown back into his routine with piano lessons the next morning at 6 am as well as a full day of school--poor guy. We were glad to have him back and be reunited as a complete family again. We are grateful G&G M as well as Jill, Jeff, Sydney and Lila were willing to have him along for the 12 days that we were gone. He really enjoyed himself and it was nice for him to get to know them a lot better.
