Daniel just had to pull a GQ pose:
It was a fun night.
There were some pretty awesome pumpkins.
A haunted house:
The Hulk:
Saturday morning our ward had a day of service. Aaron took Josh and Daniel along with him. They first helped to clean the church then they helped with some yard work and picked a bunch of grapes for an elderly couple in the ward.

After the service was done we headed down to see a BYU football game. It was a great game. Here's Josh and Sarah watching the game:
It was a beautiful day for a outdoor game!
During the game Great Clips gave away free haircuts to all the audience members so on our way home we took advantage of our free haircuts. The salon didn't know what hit them when we all walked in!! It couldn't have come at a better time because all the boys were getting pretty shaggy. Daniel and Matthew when first:
Here's the after--Aaron and I both got our hair cut as well. Sarah just got a trim:
That's the first time Noah has ever gotten a haircut from someone other than me which is crazy!
It seems that Daniel's teacher really believes in field trips! Last week Daniel had two field trips in just one week which was crazy. His first field trip was to the IMAX theater Tuesday morning. Aaron was able to be a chaperone, too. Unfortunately, I told Aaron the wrong theater to go to which I felt horrible about! Luckily, after waiting for 45 minutes at the wrong theater since he drove and didn't ride the bus, Daniel was able to borrow another chaperone's cell phone and call him to see where he was. Thankfully, Aaron was able to drive to the right theater about 5 minutes away and made it before the movie started. Here's the two enjoying their 3D glasses before the movie began:
Wednesday Daniel didn't have a school field trip, but he had a scout field trip to J&J Nursery--which is the same nursery where we got all of our yard plants when we put in our yard a few years ago. Daniel said it was pretty interesting to see all the things they did there. He also came home with two neat flowers that I hopefully can keep alive. I haven't been doing very well in the houseplant department lately.
Thursday morning Daniel had an all day field trip that I was going to be a chaperone on. There only going to be three chaperones for the whole class so I really needed to be there. Unfortunately, Noah came walking into my bathroom green as green could be as I was getting ready. Luckily as soon as he started gagging I was able to grab him and get his head over the toilet before he started barfing. DOH! He couldn't have had worse timing. Aaron and I had gotten some Fiiz drinks a few days before. Aaron's drink had had cream in it and had sat in the car for a few days before I threw it out. The day before I had run some errands with Noah and he chug a lugged the drink before I could stop him so I think that was what was the matter with him barfing wise. Luckily, Grandma T was able to watch him so I could still attend the field trip, but Noah laid around all morning just like this poor guy:
Don't feel too bad by the afternoon he was bouncing off the walls again and he ate four tacos for dinner so he wasn't sick for too long. Daniel's field trip we went to see the landfill and trash incinerator. It was a very interesting visit. It was fun to watch the guy maneuver the crane to pick up all the trash:
After the Wasatch Integrated Waste (landfill) visit we went to the Water Basin Water Conservancy to see how they clean the water for our areas drinking water. It was interesting to see all the steps involved there. Since I was only one of three chaperones it was tough keeping track of all 8 boys in my group. I just have to say no matter where I go I am always surrounded by boys--which is exactly what happened when I heard who was in my field trip group. Oh well what can you do?! It was a fun trip and I was glad I was able to go with them. Sarah had her class field trip down to the Aquarium last Friday. I wasn't asked to chaperone which I was a little sad about, but after riding on the bus with all the kids from Daniel's field trip I was ok with that. Kudos to all the bus drivers being able to drive with screaming, crazy kids on the buses! Sarah had fun at the Aquarium which was good to hear.
Monday Sarah got quite the work up. It was time for her to have a follow up visit with the pediatric Cardiologist and with the Urologist. Since I only wanted to make one trip down to Primary Children's Hospital I had to schedule both visits two months in advance. The Cardiologist visit was first. It was just to follow up with Sarah after having Kawasaki Disease last year. They did an EKG on her which showed everything as perfect--phew! They are changing the recommendations for Kawasaki Disease because it may not be as benign as originally thought after the disease was over. Luckily, Sarah hasn't shown any coronary vessel involvement, however, that doesn't mean she is out of the woods yet. She has a slight increased risk of Coronary Artery Disease as she gets older. That means we have to see the Cardiologist again in 5 years just to check her out again. Luckily, the odds are in her favor so I am hoping that her heart stays happy and healthy! Here she is getting measured:
She has grown two inches in the last 8 months!! Here she is after the EKG and waiting for the cardiologist:Right after seeing the cardiologist we headed over to imaging because Sarah had to have a radiographic cystogram. That is where they insert a urinary catheter in. Next they fill her bladder with dye that will show up on an Xray. Then they have her go to the bathroom to see if she is still having reflux. Unfortunately, she is still having reflux of the urine from her bladder up to her kidney. However, since she hasn't had any infections within the last 6 months the urologist is going to have her stop taking her daily low dose antibiotics to see if she will start getting any infections. If she doesn't get any infections we don't have to see the urologist for two years. If she does get infections then we have to follow up in one year just to see if she is still having reflux issues. They are hoping she will grow out of it since most kids do, but if she doesn't she may need surgery. Sigh. I don't know what to do with this girl!! Good thing I love her! After our visit with the urologist I had to fill Josh's emergency seizure medication prescription. Since it is a specialized prescription only Primary Children's Pharmacy fills it so I decided to fill it while we were there. While we waited for the prescription to be filled we grabbed a quick brunch from the cafeteria. Sarah was a fun lunch date. She also LOVES salads, too. She picked out healthier food than I did.
Monday night for Family Home Evening we spent the evening at Lagoon Frightmares. It was a lot of fun because it wasn't very crowded which was nice. Nothing seems to scare Josh so he was my Haunted House partner. There were two super scary haunted houses we hadn't been to yet. Aaron and everyone else are not fans of haunted houses so Josh was my haunted house buddy and we visited the last two super scary haunted houses together. Of course Josh had to stop by the photo op coffin:
We also went on some rides. We had just gotten off Cannibal when Josh and Noah were running to get to the next ride. Josh accidentally tripped Noah and Noah did a faceplant right into the concrete. Ouch!! He stayed down until I picked him up only to see blood everywhere. DOH!! He had quite a large gash in his cheek as well as cuts around his lips. He also chipped two of his teeth, but not too bad. Luckily, this isn't the first time we had a kid with a huge gash inside their mouth. Last time it happened I called my sister who is an ER doctor and she said not to worry much about mouth gashes because the mouth heals so quickly. I didn't worry too much about it this time either. However, after that happened Noah was DONE and we had to go home. Poor Noah's lips swelled up right after. He also has some nice road rash in his chin to accompany the fat lip look he was going for ;). Poor kid!On the way out the kids wanted to stop for another photo op. Here's Josh, Daniel and Sarah being science experiments:
It was a fun night until Noah fell down. Good thing Noah woke up feeling none the worse for wear the next morning minus the chin road rash and cuts in his mouth. Crazy kids!!
Sarah had her evaluation from the orthodontist yesterday. Luckily, her mouth doesn't need immediate attention due to the overcrowding teeth issue, but she will need treatment in about a year. We were glad to hear that we don't have to do anything right now. That was nice to hear.
